The Euro opened this week by showing a boost thanks to the bank’s stress tests that were performed on Europe’s financial sector.

Investors are getting more hesitant to hold the dollar with its losses which was only softened by a drop in U.S. stocks.

The Federal Reserve held interest rates steady at historic lows Wednesday, welcoming the improving economy and making few changes to its debt-buying plans as it buys time to monitor how the nation recovers from the worst recession in 80 years.

In currencies, Sterling was heavily sold across the board as concerns over UK economic conditions. Some analysts referred to cable as a new funding currency, citing recent depreciation against the high-yielding commodity FX after monetary authorities left the door open for further interest rate cuts.
